Trial capabilities

Our emphasis on rigorous, academically informed experimental medicine capitalises on our extensive clinical and academic facilities, allowing us to undertake a broad range of research from first-in-man studies to global mega-trials.

Working across a University and two major hospital sites, Oxford Clinical Trials performs studies with novel drugs and new medical devices across many therapeutic areas. Our close involvement with basic medical science has allowed us to incorporate our extensive knowledge of genetics into our trials, meaning we are world leader in the development of stratified medicine.

Amongst our portfolio of trial capabilities are:

  • Facilities to conduct trials in phases 1 through 4
  • Infrastructure that can cater for studies from 5 to 30,000 patients in size
  • Regulatory approval for first-in-man studies
  • Proven record in conducting first-in-patient and proof-of-concept trials
