Cardiovascular trials in Oxford are helping transform basic science into successful clinical practice

Though Oxford Clinical Trials is not home to a trials unit that works specifically on cardiovascular disease, our collegiate nature ensures that, between the units, we produce high-calibre research that has real influence on cardiovascular treatment policy.

In particular, we investigate treatments for pulmonary embolism, myocardial infarction and stroke, and many of our findings in these areas have made significant impacts on clinical practice.
